This is one thing I missed about living in Canada, 'the lavabo'. The one I had in Nicaragua was much better than this one, but this will do. In Nicaragua I had a double sided 'tallador' or to explain in English, a place to scrub the clothes. This is a great place to pre scrub clothes before putting them into the washer, or to wash a few pieces instead of filling the machine. Or, if you don't have a washer, you can always wash everything by hand! It would have been so nice in Canada, with sons who brought home filthy work clothes. This is something almost every home here has and would be so helpful in Canada. Stay tuned tomorrow for Day 2 of observations about living in Latin American!
