Day 4 - Driving

Well for those of you who are only checking this blog on Wednesdays (our normal posting day) we have been doing something different for the month of February.  I will be posting an observation, or something cultural, every day this month (as it is the shortest month, I thought I could manage).  So you might want to look back to the beginning of the month.  Here is today's post.
Getting directions at the local gas (PEMEX) station

So, we print a map in hopes of getting to our destination.  Then we inevitably get 'lost', or so we think, and stop at a gas station to ask for directions.  Normally, after some discussion, they can direct us to where we want to go.

This time we were trying to get to Ernie's allergist, which is down town. We had been there already, so technically we should not have gotten lost.  Just a tad off the mark, but we got back on track!
This is where we parked in front of the doctor's office.  We asked if it was okay to park there as a yellow curb usually indicates 'no parking'.  The sign (see below) was also someone disconcerting.  But we were informed that the sign and paint were there to indicate that only people for the doctors office could park there?!  Confusing but both times our vehicle was still there.
(BELOW) Ernie buying my favourite treat at a red light - roasted pumpkin seeks.  You can do a lot at a red light!
